New Parent Group with Lizette Marx
This warm and supportive group is a wonderful way to meet other parents of newborns. We welcome you to share your stories and experiences as you make your way through the sometimes confusing, sometimes amusing changes a new baby can bring. Bring your baby with you (up to a year in age). Facilitator Lizette Marx covers a pertinent new topic of interest at each meeting. $15.00 a session.

Nursing Mom’s “Tea for Me & Baby Café”
A relaxing cup of caffeine free tea, yummy treats and great breastfeeding support sounds like music to our ears! Sometimes a little assistance is just what you need to help you breastfeed successfully. Breastfeeding isn’t always as easy as we’d hope…sore nipples, low milk supply, fussy baby issues and more. No wonder new moms are often stressed! Mary Marine, Board Certified Lactation Consultant, creates a warm and restful environment for you to unwind and get expert breastfeeding support. Mommy to be Tea at The French Bakery
Enjoy a delicious and relaxing caffeine-free Parisian Afternoon Tea (which includes a warm scone, strawberry preserves, our special lemon curd and house-made clotted cream, an assortment of four freshly made tea sandwiches, two savories and three petit sweets) while listening to our guest speaker from The Nurture Center in Lafayette. Lactation Consultant, Mary Marine, IBCLC, will answer questions and talk about the workshops & classes offered at The Nurture Center. Going back to work (or school) after having a baby can be very stressful for a new Mom. Join Mary Marine, IBCLC, as she assists Moms in creating a smooth and workable transition. In this supportive and informative class, you'll learn:
How to establish a good supply of breast milk
How to pump and store your milk safely while away from home
Why it's important to continue to breastfeed baby after returning to work
How to gently adjust to being away from your nursing baby, especially during the first week.
How you and your employer can work together to create a nursing plan for your workplace.
